Compression Stockings
Compression stockings apply gentle, graduated pressure to the legs—strongest at the ankle and decreasing upward—to improve circulation, reduce swelling, and help manage conditions like edema and venous insufficiency. Consistent wear can ease aching, heaviness, and fatigue in the legs throughout the day. Multiple compression levels and sizes are available, and proper sizing is essential, so measurements are confirmed with a clinician before your order ships. Soft, breathable fabric keeps all-day wear comfortable.
Medicare will cover the cost of a PureWick for eligible female patients.
We'll handle the insurance and ship a PureWick right to your door if you qualify.

Are compression stockings covered by Medicare or Medicaid?
Compression stockings are generally covered by Medicaid and Managed Medicaid plans. Medicare typically covers compression stockings only in limited situations, such as for the treatment of venous stasis ulcers. Note that coverage varies by state and clinical need, we'll confirm your coverage and eligibility before your order is finalized.
What compression level do I need?
Compression is measured in mmHg, ranging from mild (8-15) to firm (30-40). Your doctor's guidance and a clinician's review will determine the right level for you.
How do I put on compression stockings?
Put them on first thing in the morning before swelling begins. Turn the stocking inside out to the heel, then roll it up the leg gradually. Donning aids are available if needed.
How long should I wear them each day?
Most people wear compression stockings during waking hours and remove them at night, but your clinician will confirm the schedule your doctor recommends.
How do I wash compression stockings?
Hand wash or machine wash on gentle in cool water and air dry. Avoid heat, which breaks down the elastic fibers. Replace stockings every 3 to 6 months as compression fades.
